Creative activities, hands-on help and small-group support
Brighter Futures runs community projects for people whose health, disability or circumstances can make it harder to take part in ordinary activities. There is always something to do, and nobody is put under pressure to talk or join in before they are ready.
What We Do
Our groups are built around something to do: making something, playing a simple game, listening to music or learning a skill. Some people talk while they take part; others prefer to concentrate on the activity. Either is fine, and no previous experience is needed.
Who We Support
Our groups are for adults in East Sussex whose health, disability, isolation or circumstances can make ordinary community activities harder to access. Some projects also include partners, relatives and carers. Each session is organised around an activity—making something, playing a game, listening to music or learning a skill—so nobody has to arrive knowing what to say. People can join in without discussing personal experiences or keeping up with anyone else.
